Eddie is a Senior Lecturer at COM. He teaches a wide range of modules, and is a Clinical Practice Supervisor. Eddie teaches in Cork and in Dublin.
Eddie originally trained at The Acupuncture Foundation of Ireland in Dublin several years ago and also took their Postgraduate Diplomas in Chinese Herbal Medicine and Tuina. At one point he also trained with ICTCM. Eddie freely acknowledges that the TCM Theory and Clinical Practice experience given at COM is broader and deeper than at other Irish Colleges in his experience. Eddie is separately certified as a Master of Medical QiGong.
Eddie Dowd has been practicing TCM for several years. He specialized in women’s health, but in day to day practice now treats a wide variety of conditions. He practices currently in Naas and in Dublin.
Eddie was also until recently a member of the “steering group”, the proposed Federation of TCM and Acupuncture Associations of Ireland.
