Unfortunately due to the disinterest of some private colleges and professional associations in Ireland in agreeing to raise the standard of training to common, European benchmarked, degree level programmes – to be delivered by ALL associations and private colleges – the Federation of TCM and Acupuncture Associations of Ireland project, “the steering group”, reporting to the Department of Health and Children, has had to be temporarily disbanded.
